21-Hour Trip

A couple weeks ago, Steve and I went on a road trip accross the country to attend an NGO coordination meeting in Ampara on the opposite coast of the country. After more than 8 hours of driving we reached our destination on time for the meeting. Later in the same day we headed 3 to 4 hours south of Ampara to a town called Pottuvil, right on the beach on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. We spent the night there and early the next day we drove down to Hambantota where we met up with another ADRA team. We split later on and I headed to Tangalle, packed up some office supplies and furniture from our project that has closed down and headed up to Colombo, on the western Coast where our headquarters are located. Altogether, I spent 21 hours on the road over a period of 2 days.
